In Dec. 2007, my wife was on her way home from a church Christmas party and was T-Boned as she crossed an intersection. The first person on the scene was just getting out of a church meeting just up the street. She said she could here the firetruck and checked to see if she could help, but my wife was pinned. She grabbed her purse and pulled the cell phone and called me. Now how she was figured out I was the one only God knows. I made it up there in record time, just as they were using the jaws of life to extract her. She was airlifted to the trauma center. I called my oldest in Portland and she contacted her brother who also lived up there. He called the Sheriff's Department and had them patch him through to the officer at the scene. He was told it was very bad and to bring a dark suit with him. She had 2 ruptured diaphrams, shattered pelvic regions, lacerated spleen, and most of her organs were in her chest area. She was immediately operated on and in ICU for almost a month. During that time they thought they were going to have to pin her pelvis but after much prayer it started to pull back together. No pin! Again they thought they were going to have to give her a trach because she needed was still on the air tubes. The morning after we signed the authorization one of the nurses pulled out the tubes and she started breathing on her own. She was also told thatshe might probably wouldn't walk again. She was back to work in 5 months and doing very well with little effect on her today. There is a lot more but not enough time.
