yes- classmate Fred Bartlett, a senior at Hoover High School, be- friended me and convinced me (along with Frances) to remain in school. At the time I had just transferred from Helix High School along with sixty-six others who "got to attend Hoover" while Crawford was being built..... it was like going from a really great educational experience to the biggest social downer, yet alone an educational vacuum..... just sayin' cuz you asked !

Anything else you'd like to share?

Thank God Crawford was there to start over as incoming "big-time juniors" that was to become the Colts first graduating class.

Oh, and that idea of naming us the "Crawford Cadets" as was being circulating down the boulevard when we were sophomores....
