There are some very special Colts, good friends, true friends, that didn't turn their back on me when I had hit a brick wall my sophomore year. I was expelled, during a rather violent event that year, due to some childish behavior that jeopardized my entire education. I was sent to charter schools, and risked becoming another statistic, only to discover that several Colts (staff and students) vouched for me and made a powerful case for anothrr chance, in court and with the board of education. I would have been some politicians hashmark or example of zero tolerance rhetoric, anoyher life lost in the system. That didn't happen. I graduated and celebrated with those same educators and students. Class of 2000.
